More about the UHPC Community...

...so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually we are members one of another.

Romans 12:5

Worship

There are many special holiday services throughout the year and some "out of the ordinary" services, including outdoor worship services, a Blessing of the Animals, a VBS celebration, and community-wide ecumenical services.

Study

There are opportunities for study and growth throughout the year, including weekly, monthly, and seasonal groups.

Fellowship

Dinners, game nights, building floats, volunteering outside UHPC, and much more are panned throughout the year!

Volunteering

For those who are looking for ways to step in, we have numerous volunteer opportunities both within and outside of our church walls.

Leadership

Consistent with the belief that God blesses each of us with gifts and talents, the Presbyterian tradition calls members to serve the church in many ways. Nominated and elected by the congregation, members serve on the Session and as Deacons, working together to advance the mission and ministry of Union Hill Presbyterian Church.

Music Ministry

Our choir sings regularly in our services of worship and special programs. Members of the congregation and guests regularly play instruments during worship. Youngsters participate in youth choir a few times throughout the year. All are welcome.

History

Union Chapel was established in 1860. The congregation worshipped in the school house across the street until 1899 when the current Union Hill Chapel was dedicated. In 1954 Union Hill Chapel became known as Union Hill Church. Union Hill is featured in walking tours by the Denville Historical Society. Learn more
